Here we go! Writer's block: Scenario 3

Hello everyone and welcome to scenario 3 of writer's block. In this scenario, we will explore the apocalypse of mankind. You can choose to have a group of survivors or for a more challenging scene, have a single survivor in the apocalypse trying to rid it off his world. Remember to ask yourselves these main questions:

1. What started the apocalypse?

2. How is/are your character(s) surviving?

3. Will they survive this apocalypse or not?

4. What are their reason(s) for fighting?

5. Is their lost hope?

There's it is. Always remember yo have fun, be creative, and open up your mind to the wonders of imagination.

Writer's Block Scenario 2

Hello everyone and welcome to Writer's Block Scenario 2. In the last scenario, we explored the future, distant planets, aliens and/or artificial intelligence. To Floyd Looney and Baati Nagawo thank you both for replying. The both of you definitely have an array of creativity in your writings. Both were original and very interesting to read. In this scenario, we are dialing it down back to Earth and will be using today's issues as a scene. In this scene, I want you to choose any of the issues that plague our world today and use it as a pillar for your scenario. Ok, let's get started.

Scenario 2

Place: Earth, Any Continent, Country, State or City you want to use

Time: Present Time

Main Character(s): One good detective, One kind hearted citizen fighting for peace and a corrupt group leader fighting for power and control over a nation

Topic: Today's controversial issues that plague the world

* Keep in mind these questions:

  • What would our world be like if we all attained peace?
  • What would the world be like if we had absolutely no control of our own lives?
  • Can peace ever beat out power, fear, and control?
  • Which side would you choose in this scenario?
In your scene, try to put yourself in each character's shoes (from the detective, the citizen, to the group leader) and try to connect your mind to each of the characters to sense their purpose and why they feel that it's necessary to carry out that purpose by any means. Good luck, have fun, and always open up your mind to the world of imagination!

OverDraft Comics presents: Writer's Block-Scenario 1

Hello writers and welcome to Writer's Block. In here, I will give you a scenario. With that scenario, you create a scene. This gives all writer's a chance to practice, showcase and expand their creative writing skills and to open up their imagination to a whole new level. It also gives us a chance to really identify the uniqueness and creativity in all of the writers. The rules are simple. I will post a scenario each week for the month of July. Within that week, any and all writers that want to take on the scenario has that week to post what they got. Also, all comment to the writing must be professional. It's okay to critique someone's work but do not be disrespectful towards their craft. Be respectful, be courteous. Now, let's begin!

Scenario 1

Place: Distant Planet

Time: Future

Main Character's Race: Human

Other Characters: Of any other species or artificial intelligence

* In this scenario, you will be given only the place, time, main characters race, and other characters race. With this information, try to create a scene for your main character and the environment he or she is in. This should make for a good sci-fi scene for all of the sci-fi writers. Good luck, have fun, and let your imagination run amuck.
